Camden has always been a vibrant area full of bars and pubs attracting quite a lot of younger people (and it also has the Irish Centre where I went to see some blue collar boxing matches). With the Camden Assembly having recently renovated (according to my date), it was a good place to check out.
Location: The Camden Assembly, Camden, London
Cuisine: Bar / Burger
I have to say that having a “Stranger Things” themed burger menu was for me an instant hit – despite the fact that what this means is just that the names have been inspired by the series. The place was quite quiet, but then again it was a school night.
Slick bar and interior, heavily human anatomy inspired with posters of body parts abounding. It’s quite dark inside, great for creating an intimate feel to it all, not so good for taking good quality pictures. In terms of the food, quite a decent burger but nothing that really shook me from the existential dread settling in slowly. Fries can come covered in cheese – always a bonus. I wouldn’t come here for the burger. I would come here for a few drinks, and would have a burger cause it goes well with that.
